When Entering “Customer Information”
Enter customer information and all required fields
For “Country”, if 日本 appears, please replace with your home country.
For “Prefecture”, from the pull down menu please choose “Overseas (Others)” (the last item in the pull down menu)
When Entering “Driver Information”
Enter driver information and all required fields.
Regarding Driver’s License Type: In addition to a customer’s home country driver’s license, Japan requires drivers to have an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) from a country that is a member nation of the Geneva Convention. To drive a passenger car in Japan, the IDP needs to be type B or above. Under License Type you are able to choose multiple types. The type will be indicated in your IDP. Please refer to the sample image below.
Required Images
When uploading images, please be sure that your photo and information are clearly visible. If the information is not visible or is unable to be confirmed before pickup or driver’s documentation is incomplete, Eight Ways Car Rental reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
These driving documents must be confirmed prior to pickup:
Image 1) Driver’s home country non-expired driver’s license
Image 2) International Driver’s Permit with the cover and driver’s photo in the same image
Image 3) Driver’s non-expired passport.
